Inspired by Resort 2012 Ready-to-Wear which introduces a new range of swimwear, the latest cage installation at 103 Grand Street includes an unruly mass of black latex pool toys. A melange of sea creatures become entangled in the cage. Come night, the installation transcends to a haunting deep sea domain.
Taking note from the bright flashes of color in the new Resort 2012 collection, Alexander Wang presents an intervention to the existing cage structure at 103 Grand Street in which a sculptural form binds and wraps the black metal in a vibrant red rubber skin.
The latest installation at 103 Grand Street is inspired by the 1963 Alfred Hitchcock film "The Birds”, which is projected at the store throughout the Halloween season in a black and white, silent version.
Eleven performers showcased their talent in front of a live audience, at our store - 103 Grand Street on Fashion’s Night Out. During New York Fashion Week, Barneys New York and Alexander Wang partnered for a video installation at 7th Avenue and Greenwich Avenue. The Spring 2012 runway show was projected onto a billboard nightly for the duration of fashion week.
Alexander Wang celebrates the Spring 2012 season during New York Fashion Week with a house party with MADE and Love and a performance by Odd Future.
The fourth installation features minimalistic black rubber spherical shapes, which form a floating monolithic structure against the rigidity of the cage.

Through a select number of sites, Alexander Wang explored film as the medium for the first time to express the inspiration and emotion behind the Fall 2010 collection. Shot in a deserted building that once stood as a hotel in New York City, the creative team built an abstract atmosphere of fantasy distorting the elements of wind, home, movement and stillness.
For the Fall 2010 T campaign, Alexander Wang took to the streets with a postering campaign throughout lower Manhattan. Featuring singer, actress and friend Zoe Kravitz and model Max Motta, the black and white images shot by Daniel Jackson and styled by Alastair McKimm highlight an expanded Men’s and Women’s T collection.
